Oke Idanre (Idanre Hill)
Tentative List
A hill landscape in Ondo, submitted to UNESCO’s Tentative List on 8 October 2007. UNESCO describes inselbergs of about 3,000 ft and names the Owa’s Palace, the old court, and the Agboogun footprint in that account. A nomination was withdrawn in 2011 at Nigeria’s request. This is not an inscribed World Heritage property.
Source: UNESCO World Heritage Centre. The point is converted from the coordinate UNESCO publishes, N7 06 13.8 E5 06 05.4. The Idanre local-government dot in this atlas is still the Ondo centre, so the camera uses this published point and does not treat that dot as the hill. Decision 35 COM 8B.17 records the 2011 withdrawal. The footprint stays a feature of the listing’s account.
